
F.A.D.D. , (Families Against Distracted Driving,) Founder, Michelle Paden, was a guest speaker for RHS 10-12th grade students Tuesday, Oct. 24.
She shared true stories about accidents due to texting and driving that have taken place across the state and the impact on victims and families.
She pleaded with our students to pledge not to text and drive or engage in anything that would distract them while operating a motor vehicle.
She shared cell phone pouches that turn off cell usage along with other small gifts with students.





Coach Rainwater's AP World History students are studying the rise, evolution, and decline of land-based empires in the 1400s-1700s. Students showed what they had learned by creating an autopsy report and obituary for the empire that was assigned.











Mr. Stoddard's seventh graders are currently engaged in a Material Handling Safety unit. After studying safe manual lifting techniques and handling procedures, students demonstrated knowledge and helped out the district by moving furniture into RES.





The Colts continue to roll after beating Gosnell 42-15. A 34-6 second half erased a 9-8 halftime Gosnell lead and propelled the Colts to another conference win.
QB Cavonta Washington was nearly automatic going 15/18 for 255 yards and 4TDs. Washington added 67 rushing yards on just 5 carries. Michael Rainer was at the other end of 5 of Washington's completions and racked up 112 receiving yards and 3 TDs. Budda Harris had 5 catches for 60 yards. Jakavion Williams only had one catch put it went for 43 yards and a score. RB Koby Turner rushed for 85 yards and a TD on 13 carries. Turner had a big defensive night amassing 14 tackles. Marcus Slayton ended the night with 14 tackles and 4TFL. Wyatt Lancaster continues to have big games finishing with 10 tackles, 2TFL, 1 sack, and 1 fumble recovery. Tekylun Sanders added 9 tackles and 5 QB hurries.
The Colts move to 6-2 overall and 5-0 in conference. Gosnell drops to 4-4 and 1-4 in conference. Rivercrest will travel to play an always tough Trumann squad next Friday. GO COLTS!

Rivercrest Freshman Academy students in Mrs. McClung's Keystone class researched their local communities. As part of their Community Service unit, students researched, presented, and discussed local communities as well as projects that could be completed to help those communities.






October 20th at the Pink Out game the senior class will release pink helium balloons for those who have lost loved ones, are currently fighting, or defeated cancer at 6:30 p.m. before the game starts. Each balloon will be $2 and it comes with a sticker that you can either wear or attach to the balloon. We are accepting cash AND PayPal. Please have any cash forwarded to the front office.
