-Visitor parking is now in a single designated area for each campus building to ensure access is only at the front office
-A visitor management system, called Hall Pass, has been implemented for all visitors at each campus. Visitors will check-in at the campus office, be provided a visitor pass, and be escorted to their destination. Visitors will also need to check-out at the office upon completion of their visit

-Student drop-off and pick-up have been adjusted at each campus to ensure student safety
-Busses and student parking have been adjusted to ensure student safety
-Adjustments have been made to the student drop-off and pick-up at the Country Club to ensure student safety
-Fire and emergency vehicle lanes have been identified and are being updated district wide

-100% of interior doors are equipped with compliant door locks
-All exterior doors are undergoing extensive upgrades and are equipped with access control locks to ensure no one can enter a building without being identified by office personnel first
-Cameras, including entry doors, on all campuses are continuously monitored by designated staff
-Updated RAVE Panic System for emergency responders to be provided access to detailed building plans for medical and threat issues

-Experienced and highly trained administrators and SROs in investigating concerns of safety and threats of harm to our students
-Background checks for all new staff upon hiring
-Hall traffic patterns for students have been updated to ensure they are in monitored areas at all times
-Ongoing working relationship with Mississippi County Sheriff's Department to add an additional School Resource Officer (SRO) to staff
-Implementation of the I Love You Guys Foundation Standard Response Protocol for better communication about real time safety concerns with parents, students, faculty/staff, and first responders
-State required Lockdown Drills with real time drill feedback to affirm and improve our safety practices in addition to other safety drills (e.g. tornado)
-Awareness training for students and faculty about social media use
-Safety for teachers and students in determining school dismissal on weather related days
-Multiple modes of communication to relay important information to parents, faculty/staff, and students, including phone calls and social media


Students in Mr. Stoddard's Agricultural Education classes spent the first week getting acquainted and focusing on soft skills. Students completed projects strengthening teamwork, communication, problem solving, active listening, and work ethic. Along the way, students practiced shop safety and correct tool usage. #wearerivercrest

Student drivers can apply for a parking pass online! Just fill out the linked form and upload a picture of your driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance. To make the process easier, please have a picture of these items ready.

Once the application is submitted, please bring $5 to the high school office to receive your parking sticker (required).
When you receive your parking sticker you will also receive the Rivercrest Parking Rules and Regulations as well as several pertinent Arkansas Vehicle Laws. You will read this information and sign that you have read and understand the rules and regulations (a copy will be given to you).

The Colts shook off some first half rust and flashed offensive firepower on their way to a 57-26 win over EPC in tonight’s scrimmage game at The TEZ.
The Colts put up 670 yards of offense — 391 on the ground and 279 through the air. Cavonta Washington was 9/13 for 222 yards and 2TDs. Michael Rainer caught 4 passes for 203 yards and 2 scores. Koby Turner ran 4 times for 134 yards and 3TDs. Jayden Young threw for 2TDs and ran for 58 yards and had a pick on defense. Joe Louis Ralph had 3 Carrie’s for 83 yards and a score. Ralph had 6 tackles and a sack. Mike Facson and Siquori Bonner hauled in TD catches. Maddux Barber snagged a 2pt conversion at receiver. Jackson Ephlin ran for 36 yards on 2 carries. Wyatt Lancaster had 6 tackles. Nolan Williams led the Colts with 8 stops. Deric Edgell punched in an extra point.
The Colts will kickoff the 2023 regular season at The TEZ next Friday against Manila. GO COLTS!

Mary Tom Vermillion, retired Rivercrest librarian, was invited to come read to Dina Carr's class.


Students in Mrs. McClung's freshman Keystone class played get to know you Bingo to get to know their classmates. Supt. Mike Cox stopped in to help students fill in their squares.

Rivercrest students who drive to school will need the new 2023-24 school year parking sticker for their car, the hang tags for students are no longer valid.
Please bring driver license, registration, proof of insurance, and $5 to the office to complete the parking application.


Rivercrest 7-12 Students:
Students who drive to school will park in the gym parking lot. This is the same procedure that was used last year.
Upon arrival each day, 7-12 students will report to the cafeteria - even those not planning to eat breakfast.
Tomorrow, August 15, students will go to the auditorium at 7:45 for a first-day info meeting.


Rivercrest School District will take bids for 8 tailgating spots for the 2023 Colts Football season.
The 8 tailgating spots will be numbered 1-8. Each spot is 16 feet wide and will be located north of the home bleachers against the fence.
We will take online bids for each spot. The highest bid will get their first choice of spot, the second highest bid will get the second choice, etc.
The bids will include season passes for 5 people for both Junior High and High School games. Additional persons over 5 will be required to pay the regular $5.00 admission fee.
Bids are to be turned into the Superintendent's office or submitted on this form by Wednesday, August 16 @ 2:00 pm. Bids will be opened at 2:30pm and the highest bidders will be notified immediately.
All proceeds will go to the Rivercrest School District athletic funds.

Today the Rivercrest SROs provided training to all faculty and staff to ensure a working knowledge of the best practices to keep our students safe and our schools secure!



Rivercrest School District now has two options for morning Country Club pickup.
Buses will pick up K-12 students at 7:05 OR 7:25. This new option is for parent convenience as well as reducing congestion and traffic in the parking lot.
Afternoon routes will be staggered. K-6 students will arrive at the Country Club by 3:45 pm. 7-12 students will arrive at approximately 4:05 pm. These are approximate times. Please be patient with our drivers and monitors as we continue to adjust.
Please remember:
PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF STUDENTS. Parents must remain with students until the they are safely on the bus.
PLEASE BE ON TIME TO PICK UP STUDENTS.
