JUNIORS - ACT testing is tomorrow, April 3. Testing groups have been posted to Google Classroom and signs will be by the testing room doors. Please locate your testing group and remember to bring your CHARGED Chromebook with you in the morning.
Mrs. Pittman's eighth grade students showcased their creativity by completing choice projects over books they have read this school year. Students made posters, dioramas, playlists, book trailers, comic strips, maps, or trading cards. They had to show their learning by including a summary of the book while identifying characters, setting, and plot.
Rivercrest won thanks in part to seven runs in the fourth inning. Conner Vaughn singled, scoring one run, lan McClain singled, scoring two runs, Jaxon Kilburn doubled, scoring two runs, a passed ball scored one run, and Jacob Atchley singled, scoring one run.
Kilburn led things off on the hill for the Colts. They allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking none.
Rivercrest collected 13 hits in the game. McClain led with two runs batted in. They went 2-for-4 on the day. Keiran Morris collected two hits in three at bats. Jayden Ralph, Ashtin Cagle, Ralph, Morris, and Vaughn each stole multiple bases. Rivercrest stole 12 bases in the game.

Carleigh Williams collected three hits in three at bats, as the Lady Colts defeated Harrisburg 15-0. Williams hit an inside the park home run in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the second inning.
Rivercrest won thanks in part to eight runs in the fourth inning. Ella Gonzalez tripled, scoring two runs, Chesnee Chandler singled, scoring one run, Williams singled, scoring two runs, Karlee Cullom doubled, scoring one run, and Brooklyn Moore singled, scoring two runs. A double by Gonzalez put the Lady Colts on the board in the bottom of the first. Five more Colts runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 7-0. Chandler singled, scoring one run, Raven Powell hit a double scoring three runs, and Williams hit a solo inside the park home run.
Laynee Gardner stepped in the circle first for Rivercrest. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking none.
The Lady Colts amassed 16 hits in the game. Gonzalez drove the middle of the lineup, leading with four runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Powell, Cullom, Taylor Routledge, Chandler, and Moore each collected multiple hits. Rivercrest was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Gonzalez had the most chances in the field with five.

Students attended the 2024 Women’s Event: Work + Life hosted by Arkansas Northeastern College. Participants learned how to manage professional responsibilities while maintaining healthy personal lives.

Members and staff of the Rivercrest Bands were recognized yesterday with commemorative rings in celebration of their 2023 4A ASBOA State Championship. This is the first state championship in the school's history for the band program. RHS hosted TI 84 calculator training for our Juniors yesterday in preparation for the Junior ACT exam we will have here on campus April 3rd! Thank you to Ms. Allen from the Crowley's Ridge Educational Co-op for coming to train our students. Understanding how to use this calculator is an important part of the math portion of the ACT exam.

Rivercrest Colts took the lead, 4-1, in the top of the second thanks to doubles by Conner Vaughn, and Joe Louis Ralph.
Jaxon Kilburn pitched five innings in relief for the Colts. The reliever gave up three hits and zero runs while, striking out two and walking one. Ralph started on the mound for Rivercrest.
The Colts collected 10 hits in the game. Vaughn led Rivercrest Varsity Colts with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Jacob Atchley went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits. Ralph collected two hits in four at bats. The Colts turned one double play in the game.
Reminder: Rivercrest Elementary will have Pre-K registration on Thursday, March 28 in the RES Parent Center from 8:30-11:00 am and 12:30-3:00 pm. Download registration paperwork at bit.ly/rivercrestprekregis or pick up a packet in the school office.
Only completed packets with all documentation will be accepted for registration. Packets will not be accepted before March 28 at 8:30 am. Numbers will be handed out upon arrival and registration will take place in that order.
Due to unknown circumstances, students registered to take the ACT in Lepanto (EPC) on Saturday, April 13 will now test at Valley View.
