Rivercrest Jr. High FBLA attended the spring conference in Pocahontas this week. Keira Holloway received 2nd place in Keyboarding Applications.Laley Hattenhauer and Kailen Brown received 5th place in Multimedia and Website Development. The Lady Colts beat Corning 58-54 to advance to the 3A-3 Conference Tournament Finals. Mykayla Banks had a huge game with 29. Destiny Burks and Zakiyah Brownlee added 13 and 10. GO COLTS!


The Colts dropped Gosnell 71-44 to advance to the 3A-3 Conference Tournament Finals. Buddah Harris and Jaxon Thomas led the way with 14 and 13. Cavonta Washington poured in 11. Fran Robinson, Jayden Young, and Kash Span added 9, 8, and 7. The Colts improve to 24-3 overall. GO COLTS!


Sixth grade GT students traveled to Arkansas State University to compete in the Financial Literacy Quiz Bowl today. They also enjoyed lunch at the A-State cafeteria.

The 3A-3 District Basketball Tournament at Gosnell for your Colts starts next week!



While studying the architecture and construction career cluster, RJHS career development students used popsicle sticks and rubber bands to make mobile cars and catapults.






Congrats to RHS Platinum and Gold WorkKeys Award winners. WorkKeys assessments measure foundational skills required for success in the workplace. Students were celebrated with lunch at K-Pot in Jonesboro for their outstanding scores and were exposed to a new cultural experience.

The Children's Dental Group visited with K-2 students today to discuss the importance of brushing teeth and having good dental health.



Students in Mrs. Elder's art classes are working on a pottery project in which they will create cell phone amplifiers. Once completed students will glaze the projects and they will be fired in the kiln.





The Colts overcame a 12 point 4th quarter deficit to grab the road win at Osceola 71-68. The Colts were down 4 with 53 seconds left when Fran Robinson nailed a 3 to pull Rivercrest to within one. Buddah Harris gave the Colts a lead on the next possession. After a Jayden Young steal, Young scored on a putback to set the final score. Young led the Colts with 19. Buddah Harris poured in 16. Cavonta Washington scored 12. Rivercrest improved to 23-2 overall and finished the undefeated in conference with a 12-0 record. GO COLTS!
