
Taylor Routledge collected four hits in five at bats, as Rivercrest Lady Colts defeated Manila Lady Lions 19-4. Routledge doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the fourth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning. The Lady Colts jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Mary Jo Booker doubled, scoring one run, Carleigh Williams singled, scoring one run, Maggie Hensley doubled, scoring two runs, Chesnee Chandler singled, scoring one run, and Molli Austin doubled, scoring one run. Rivercrest scored eight runs on seven hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Booker grounded out, scoring one run, Williams tripled,
scoring one run, Brooklyn Moore doubled, scoring one run, Chandler drew a walk, scoring one run, Austin drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Booker singled, scoring one run, and Routledge singled, scoring one run. Katelyn Ostendorf stepped in the circle first. Rivercrest surrendered five hits and four runs over four innings, striking out six and walking two. The Lady Colts accumulated 21 hits in the game. Booker, Moore, and Chandler each drove in runs. Raven Powell, Hensley, Gonzalez, and Williams each collected multiple hits.

We are thrilled to announce that once again Rivercrest Pre-K has achieved 6-star certification with Better Beginnings, showcasing our commitment to providing exceptional early childhood education.


Rivercrest color guard will be hosting tryouts for the 2024-2025 season beginning with a clinic afterschool on April 2, 3, and 4 from 4:00 to 5:30 where we will teach the basics of spinning a flag and a short routine. Tryouts will be held on Friday, April 5. Everyone that will be in 8th through 12th grade next school year is welcome to try out, even if you don't play an instrument. To get a tryout packet or more information, email ashlie.books@smccolts.com or stop by Mrs. Benson's room (189 in the high school). Completed packets will need to be turned in before tryouts.

FCCLA had the opportunity to volunteer at the Senior Center in Tyronza yesterday. They cooked and served a delicious meal and had a great time. This the second time of three that they will volunteer there this year and every time it is great experience.

Both teams were strong in the circle on Tuesday, but Rivercrest Lady Colts defeated Gosnell 2-1. Laynee Gardner started the game for Rivercrest and recorded 23 outs. They were the first to get on the board in the fourth when Chesnee Chandler tripled, scoring one run, but didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at one in the top of the eighth when Karlee Cullom singled, scoring one run.
Gardner earned the win for Rivercrest. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and one run over seven and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking three. Cullom and Chandler each collected two hits and drove in one run.

Second grade students in Mrs. Jones's class applied their knowledge of the engineering design process to create a catapult. Teams worked together to share ideas and skills to develop a final product to test. This activity also allowed them to practice skills in measuring both metric and standard units for math class.
