We understand that the recent storms and flooding continue to impact many of our families. If you have been displaced or are experiencing any other circumstances that are hindering your child’s ability to return to school, please contact your school’s office. Absences directly related to the weather and flooding will not be counted against students. We are here to support you and ensure every student has what they need during this time.

Due to water-covered roads in some areas, bus routes may need to be modified tomorrow. If your home is located in an area still impacted by high water, it may be necessary for parents to meet buses at a safe, accessible location. Please be patient as we work to ensure the safety of all students and drivers. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility!

This is a great new partnership that has helped support our back pack program this year and we look forward to continuing this in the future. We would also like to thank them for their donation to the tornado relief efforts our Rivercrest Cheerleaders are coordinating.

The school is sadly mourning the untimely death of one of its students. Our hearts go out to family, classmates, and friends during this difficult time. We understand that many may be struggling with this news, and we want to ensure that all staff and students have the support they need during this time. Grief counseling will be available starting Tuesday, and we encourage anyone who needs to talk to reach out to a teacher or Mrs. Stewart and make plans to see a counselor. We extend our deepest condolences to all who are mourning this loss.

ATLAS scores are a useful tool to support learning and guide conversations with your child's teacher. Teachers use ATLAS scores to identify the skills or standards in each subject in which students may need more support or are ready for more challenging work. They also use the results to monitor progress throughout the year. This helps teachers tailor their instruction to individual students. When students are in need of more intense support, teachers may create individualized plans to get students back on track. For a detailed Parent-Teacher Planning Tool to guide a discussion with your child's teacher(s), visit atlasportal.org/families.html.

This kind of dedication to our students and agricultural education makes a lasting impact. Thank you for investing in the future of our young leaders in agriculture!
