Rivercrest has received state approval to move forward with a 4-day week calendar for the 2025–2026 school year! 🗓️👏 📊 The Arkansas Department of Education (DESE) is closely monitoring student growth and proficiency—including performance on ATLAS assessments—in all districts using alternative calendars. That means every assessment counts. 💪 Parents, please encourage your child to SHOW WHAT THEY KNOW and give their best effort on ATLAS and other upcoming state tests! Their hard work helps protect the flexible calendar our families and staff value. 📅 An official 2025–2026 school calendar will be released soon. Rivercrest will make up the following missed days from this school year to meet state requirements: ✅ May 27 – Make-up for Feb. 20 ✅ May 28 – Make-up for Feb. 21 ✅ May 29 – Make-up for April 3 ✅ May 30 – Dismiss at 12:00 PM (4-hour day) to make up for two early outs (Feb. 18 & April 1) These days follow the makeup structure built into 24-25 approved calendar. RHS Boys' Track and Field finished as runner-up yesterday in the Wellman-Redskin Relays at Pocahontas. Rivercrest took 1st place in the High Jump, Triple Jump, and Long Jump as well as 4x100 meter relay and runner up in the 4x200 meter relay and 200 meter dash. Tekylun Sanders qualified for state in the Long Jump.

Rivercrest Colts won big over Osceola Seminoles 18-2. Rivercrest got on the board in the top of the first inning after a dropped third strike scored one run, and Keiran Morris hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs. Rivercrest added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Joe Louis Ralph singled down the right field line, and Jaxon Kilburn doubled down the right field line, each scoring one run. The Colts added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Aden Lucius singled down the left field line, Jayden Ralph doubled. Rivercrest scored eight runs on seven hits in the top of the fourth inning. Ashton Harris doubled, scoring two runs, Ralph singled, scoring two runs, Ralph singled, scoring two runs, Kilburn singled, scoring one run, and Jacob Atchley singled, scoring one run. Morris started on the bump for Colts. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Rivercrest piled up 14 hits in the game. Ralph went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Rivercrest in hits. Morris, Ralph, and Ralph each drove in three runs Lucius, Latham, and Kilburn each collected multiple hits for Rivercrest. Ralph, Lucius, and Kilburn each stole multiple bases for the Colts.

Kayden Schwantz collected three hits in three at bats, as Rivercrest defeated Osceola 16-1 on Thursday at Rivercrest High School. Schwantz tripled in the third inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the second inning. The Colts jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Jacob Atchley singled, scoring one run, Keiran Morris singled, scoring one run, Aden Lucius grounded out, scoring one run, Schwantz singled, scoring one run, and Jayden Ralph doubled, scoring two runs. Rivercrest scored eight runs on six hits in the bottom of the second inning. Jaxon Kilburn tripled, scoring one run, Lucius doubled, scoring two runs, Schwantz singled, scoring one Ralph started the game for Rivercrest. The right-handed pitcher gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out eight and walking one. The Colts amassed 12 hits in the game. Kilburn provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Rivercrest Varsity Colts with four runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Morris and Schwantz each collected three hits for the Colts.

Karlee Cullom Puts On Strong Contact Performance As Lady Colts Take The Win Over Harrisburg Karlee Cullom collected three hits in four at-bats, as the Lady Colts defeated Harrisburg 11-0 on Thursday. Cullom singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning. The Lady Colts won thanks in part to seven runs in the fourth inning. Zoiey Fox doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Cullom singled, scoring one run, Emme Weldon singled, scoring two runs, and Hannah Higgins singled, scoring one run. Rivercrest got on the board in the first inning after Ella Gonzalez doubled, scoring one run. A single by Cullom, and a ground out by Gonzalez helped Rivercrest extend their early lead in the third. Katelyn Ostendorf earned the win for Rivercrest. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking none. They collected 12 hits in the game. Fox, Cullom, and Weldon each drove in two runs for the Lady Colts. Gonzalez and Higgins each collected multiple hits for Rivercrest.

Lucas Martin, Education Program Specialist with AGFC, visited Mr. Stoddard's Survey of Ag Classes and oversaw a goose dissection lab. Students learned first hand about how to process the game after harvest and what the term 'wanton waste' meant. Student groups were able to dissect their own specimen, identify major organs, and determine the diet of their waterfowl. New & Improved Bullying Reporting Form Now Available At Rivercrest School District, we are committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students. To help with this, we have updated our Bullying Reporting Form to make it easier for students to report concerns. Where to find it: Available in Students’ Clever accounts Accessible on our district website under the “Students and Parents” tab How it works: Students use their Rivercrest Gmail account to submit a report. The Dean of Students will receive and review each submission in accordance with School Handbook Policy. Basic details are required to initiate a follow-up. Encourage your student to report any bullying concerns. They can also talk directly to a teacher, counselor, dean of students, or principal for support. Jaxon Kilburn struck out 11 batters as the starting pitcher led Rivercrest Colts past Hoxie 13-0. Kilburn gave up three hits and zero runs over five innings while walking none. Rivercrest scored seven runs in the fifth inning on the way to victory. Lexx Latham grounded out, scoring one run, Joe Louis Ralph singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Jacob Atchley singled, scoring one run, Aden Lucius singled, scoring one run, and Kayden Schwantz singled, scoring two runs. Rivercrest amassed 12 hits in the game. Keiran Morris, Ashton Harris, Ralph, and Schwantz each collected two hits for the Colts. Ralph led Rivercrest with two runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-3 on the day. Harris, Ralph, and Kilburn each stole multiple bases for Colts. Rivercrest ran wild on the base paths, collecting 14 stolen bases for the game.
