Students arriving after 7:40 AM will receive a bagged breakfast so they don't miss out!
We know a good breakfast helps our students start the day strong and this schedule ensures every student is fed and ready to learn when our instructional day begins at 7:42 AM.
Let's make this a great start to the school year!

MORNING ARRIVAL
Security gates open at 7:00 a.m.
Student drop off begins at 7:15 a.m., when staff supervision begins.
Breakfast is served from 7:20 to 7:42 a.m.
Instruction begins at 7:42 a.m. Students arriving after this time will receive a grab-and-go breakfast before heading to class.
AFTERNOON DISMISSAL
RES security gate reopens at 2:50 p.m.
RHS security gates reopen at 3:30 p.m.
Student dismissal begins at 3:53 p.m.
SECURITY GATES
Security gates are open for morning arrival beginning at 7:00 a.m. and reopen at 2:50 p.m. for afternoon dismissal.
During the instructional day, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:50/3:30 p.m., the security gates remain closed to help protect our students and staff.
Visitors arriving during school hours should use the camera and call button system at the gate. Office staff will assist you with campus access.
TRAFFIC FLOW
Our traffic patterns are the same as last year. Please see the full traffic map below.
Families with students at both campuses: Drop off and pick up your 7th through 12th grade student in the high school traffic lane on the baseball field side, then continue around the football field to the elementary parent line. For the safety of all students, high school students may not be dropped off at the elementary campus to walk across the bus loading zone or student parking lot to the high school. Please use the designated high school drop off area.
7th through 12th Grade Parent Pick Up: Use the high school traffic lane on the baseball field side only. Please do not use the elementary side or gym side. There are no supervised walking paths through the student parking lot or bus loading areas. For afternoon pickup, please do not park in the high school staff parking lot. Students should never cross two lanes of traffic to reach a vehicle.
Elementary and Pre-K: Use the designated elementary parent line. The bus lane in front of the elementary school is for buses only. If your student arrives after 7:42 a.m., please park in visitor parking, walk your child across the bus lane, and sign them in at the office. There is no marked crossing, so students must be accompanied by a parent.
High School Student Drivers: Student drivers should use the student parking lot and designated student driving lanes, highlighted in blue on the traffic map. For everyone's safety, student drivers must yield to bus traffic until all buses have exited campus. Student drivers may not use the back entrances or exit through the Rivercrest Elementary entrance. Student driver dismissal begins at 3:53 p.m. We appreciate our student drivers helping us keep traffic moving safely by following the designated routes and exercising patience during dismissal.
Help Us Keep Everyone Safe
Follow the designated traffic routes shown on the map.
Help us keep students safe by using only the designated parent traffic routes and leaving bus lanes and gym-side traffic areas clear.
Be patient during the first few days of school as everyone settles into the routine.
Thank you for partnering with us to make arrival and dismissal safe and efficient. We can't wait to welcome our Colt family back for another great year. Go Colts!

Our next Food Pantry distribution will be Thursday, August 6 from 5:00-6:30 pm at the elementary.
This program is available to any family with a Rivercrest student. There are no income requirements and no income information is collected. The more families who participate, the stronger this program becomes and the more we can continue to provide for our students and community.
We hope to see you on August 6!

Students will have four core teachers, one each for English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies/ELA, along with weekly elective classes.
Having teachers specialize in one content area gives every student access to expert instruction in every subject.
We also know friendships matter. Whenever possible, students were placed with requested classmates while balancing class sizes and student needs.
It’s going to be a great year at Rivercrest!
