Rivercrest School District

Members of our High Schools CTSO's (Career And Technical Student Associations), EAST, and our Career Coach spent time with our 6th Grade Career Awareness Classes this week. They talked about the various pathways students can take through Junior High and High School and about the opportunities our CTSO's can provide the students. They also took part in an activity set up by our FFA representative where they measured engine parts with calipers. Thank you to our students Jonah, Hannah, Jake, Annie, and Fiona for taking the time to present to our 6th graders this week!

Congratulations Layla on your acceptance to SEMO! #WhyApply

Board member Trey Coffman joined our administration office today to pass out popsicles at the high school for one of our “Glad You Came to School” days! Throughout the year, we will have random surprises for our students just to remind them that we are glad they are here. Thank you, Mr. Coffman, for jumping in and helping us make today a little more fun for our Colts!

Rivercrest celebrated Custodial Appreciation Day today! Our amazing custodial team was treated to a catered lunch prepared by our FACS class, while our high school students stepped in to cover custodial duties. This gave our team a few well-deserved hours to relax, enjoy lunch, hang out, and watch a movie. We appreciate each of them and everything they do every day to keep Rivercrest clean, safe, and ready for our students and staff. Thank you for all you do!

October Events! 🗓️

Congrats to these RHS students who had Perfect Attrndance for the month of September!

A big thank you to Piranie Farms for once again donating the proceeds from harvesting the beans surrounding our Rivercrest campus. Each year, the Piranie family generously gives these proceeds back to support our Rivercrest FFA program. We are grateful for their continued partnership and investment in our students!

Congratulations Damiya Barbee on your acceptances to UACC Morrilton and Henderson St.! #WhyApply

Captain Andre Harris from the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections stopped by Mrs. Elea's Senior English class this morning. He talked with students about how to make a strong impression in an interview, what employers really expect on the job, and what the working world is actually like. It tied in perfectly with what the class has been working on lately: identifying their job skills, researching careers, writing professional emails, and building resumes.

One of the goals of this class is to help our seniors feel ready for whatever comes after graduation. If you work in our community and would be willing to visit with our seniors, we'd love to hear from you. Just reach out to Elea Robertson.

Congratulations Olivia Tucker on her acceptances to UALR, Henderson St, and the University of the Ozarks!
