A CTE completer is a student who completes 3 sequential classes in one of our Career and Technical Education pathways. Each year we recognize these seniors with a certificate of completion. We want to recognize this year's senior CTE completers for their hard work and dedication to their chosen pathways. April was National Library Month. To celebrate our 7-12 library held a “Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover” contest. Students who entered read a blurb about a book and then created a new cover and title for the book. This year's winner is Lindey Toler. She won a $50 Wal-Mart gift card.

Rivercrest Colts Defeat Manila Behind Strong Performance From Jayden Ralph
Jayden Ralph struck out 11 batters as the starter led Rivercrest past Manila 3-2 on Thursday. Ralph allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings while walking one.
Rivercrest was the first to get on the board in the third when an error scored one run.
Isaiah Hernandez provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Colts with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Lexx Latham and Hernandez each collected two hits for Rivercrest. Evan McClain paced the Colts with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Ashton Harris stole two bases. The Colts ran wild on the base paths, accumulating five stolen bases for the game.

Rivercrest took tonights's district tournament game in dramatic fashion and punched their ticket to regionals, with a 3-2 walk-off victory over Newport Greyhounds. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the seventh when Katelyn Ostendorf singled, scoring one run.
Both teams were strong in the circle. Rivercrest pitchers struck out 11.
The Lady Colts jumped into the lead in the bottom of the seventh when Hannah Higgins tripled, scoring two runs, and Ostendorf singled, scoring one run.
Ostendorf began the game for Rivercrest. The pitcher gave up three hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking none.
Higgins went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Ostendorf and Higgins each collected two hits for the Lady Colts.

Congrats to the Rivercrest Sr. Boys Track Team as they finished 2nd overall with score of 129.5.
They qualified in several events for the State Track Meet @ Ashdown on Tuesday.
