K-8: Paper packets have been sent home with students (1/27/23). Please watch for this packet and put it in a safe place to be used only when an AMI day is announced.
9-12: AMI assignments will be posted to Google Classroom.
Complete instructions are available in the student packets or on Google Classroom. Parents and guardians will be notified of AMI days through social media, the district website, and our parent notification system.

The Academies at Rivercrest High School is excited to announce we have received grant funding for a new program of study! This school year we started a Supply Chain and Logistics Program of Study. This was in response to community partners who saw a need to build a program to expose students to the various career paths in this area, along with showing them the importance supply chains have on their daily lives. Rivercrest is uniquely located near the Mississippi River, interstates 55 and 40, and a major railway which all play a vital part in the supply chain for the companies in our area and all over the country. Students will learn how these major transportation routes impact global, national, and local supply chains and how the field of logistics is a critical area to keep our country moving forward.

Members of the Rivercrest Band program performed in concert with the ASBOA Region V Jr. High and Sr. High All-Region Bands this past Saturday at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. These students were selected for the bands through a blind audition where they competed against students from over 30 other school districts in our region. The following students are pictured:

The Rivercrest HS JROTC Orienteering traveled to Babler State Park in Missouri to compete in an orienteering match. Orienteering is a timed race in which participants use maps to select routes and navigate through diverse and unfamiliar terrain. Team members were Chasity Hall, Annabelle Tucker, Samson Tucker and Bryson Stracener. The team placed third.

The Rivercrest Family, Career and Community Leaders of America - Senior Meal Program has been named one of three finalists for the 2022 Boot Strap Award for the Arkansas Delta Byways Delta Awards competition. Finalists will be recognized at the Arkansas Delta Byways Banquet on Friday January 27, 2023. The Arkansas Delta Byways Boot Strap Award is given to an individual, organization or community that has achieved significant success "on a shoestring," having limited means to work with either in resources or finances. The Rivercrest FCCLA was nominated for their work preparing and serving monthly lunches at the Tyronza Senior Center.

RHS National Honor Society is booking appointments for the NHS Colt Formal Boutique. They have brand premier style dresses and shoes, provided free of charge just in time for prom!

JROTC Cadets traveled to Jonesboro to support the Red Cross Blood Drive "Be The Hero". These students were involved in donor registration, donor shirt section, providing refreshments to donors and escorting donors to various areas of the event.

Rivercrest HS JROTC recently selected the winner of the JROTC Essay Contest. The contest is an annual competition designed to give cadets an opportunity to assimilate lessons learned from JROTC curriculum and communicate their knowledge in writing. It is used to motivate young people to be better citizens and to instill in the students the values of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment. 1st Place was Jade Ramirez, 2nd place was Kylee Ramirez; 3rd place was Samson Tucker; Honorable mentions were Austin Gomez, Annabelle Tucker and Lance Winford. Jade Ramirez’s submission will now compete with over 1500 schools in national competition.
