Powell's Walk-off Gives Lady Colts Varsity Victory Over Corning
The Lady Colts took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-4 walk-off victory over Corning. The game was tied at four with Rivercrest batting in the bottom of the seventh when Raven Powell's sac fly scored one run.
The Lady Colts earned the victory despite allowing Corning to score three runs in the third inning.
Rivercrest got things started in the second inning. An error scored one run.
Katelyn Ostendorf took the win for the Lady Colts. The pitcher lasted three and a third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero.
Dakota Rinderer started the game for Rivercrest. The hurler surrendered four runs on seven hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking zero. Mary Jo Booker led with two hits in three at bats.

Students attended the Women's Power Talk hosted by Arkansas Northeastern College and presented by ANC's Career Pathways Initiative. The keynote speaker and group of panelists are all women authors and entrepreneurs from Mississippi County.



Kevin Morris was dialed in at the plate on Monday, tallying four hits and leading Rivecrest to a 14-3 win over Piggott. Morris singled in the first, homered in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth. The Colts opened up scoring in the first inning, when Morris singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Rivecrest put up seven runs in the third inning. Batters contributing to the big inning included Keiron Morris, Morris, Ian McClain, Joe Louis Ralph, and Jaxon Kilburn, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Ralph was on the hill for the Colts. The right-hander went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out six, and walking one.
Morris smacked a home run in the second inning. Rivecrest totaled 11 hits. Morris, McClain, and Ralph each had multiple hits. Morris went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits. The Colts didn't commit a single error in the field. McClain had the most chances in the field with eight. Rivecrest tore up the base paths, as five players stole at least two bases. Ashtin Cagle led the way with four.


RSD will dismiss at 2:00pm today, March 31 due to the threat of dangerous weather.


RSD will open our elementary as a safe location for the public starting at 4 pm.
Please park in the west parking lot of elementary and enter the west doors.


RSD is aware of the potential for severe weather. We will monitor the weather throughout the day. Absentees will not be counted for any student checked out early.
We will utilize our phone messaging service, school website - www.rivercrestcolts.org and social media to make any announcements regarding a change in dismissal time.
In the event of a major weather event during school hours, please be aware that our elementary hallways were built for reinforcement as weather shelters.
We also have a safe room on the high school campus.
We consider the safety of our students the highest priority.


Rivercrest Lady Colts knocked in nine runs in the sixth on its way to a 17-1 victory over Harrisburg on Thursday. Taylor Routledge, Molli Austin, Karlee Cullom, Chesnee Chandler, Carleigh Williams, and Jessie Kroeger each had RBIs in the big inning.
The Lady Colts notched nine runs in the sixth inning. Routledge, Austin, Cullom, Chandler, Williams, and Kroeger each drove in runs during the inning. Dakota Rinderer led things off in the pitcher's circle for Rivercrest. Rinderer lasted five innings, allowing five hits and zero runs while striking out two.
Rivercrest scattered 15 hits in the game. Austin, Annabelle Chandler, Williams, and Cullom each racked up multiple hits for the Lady Colts. Chandler and Austin all had three hits.


Rivecrest Colts stole the lead late in the game for a 6-1 victory over Gosnell on Thursday. The game was tied at one with the Colts batting in the top of the sixth when Ian McClain singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Conner Vaughn got the start for Rivecrest. The lefty allowed seven hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking one.
McClain, Austin Elrod, Joe Louis Ralph, Ashtin Cagle, Jaxon Kilburn, and Kevin Morris each managed one hit to lead Rivercrest.


March 25th marks National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day. Rivercrest School District celebrated and showed support to Braylon McClain, by wearing green.

Rivercrest got things started in the first inning when Morris drew a walk, scoring one run. Austin Elrod got the start for the Colts. Elrod lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero.
Jacob Atchley, Kilburn, Cagle, and Elrod each collected one hit to lead the Colts. Morris led with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 12 stolen bases.


A nine-run third inning led the Lady Colts to a 13-2 victory against Westside. Laynee Gardner, Molli Austin, Karlee Cullom, Carleigh Williams, and Mary Jo Booker all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Rivercrest got things started in the first inning when Williams singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. They pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. The Lady Colts tallied nine runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower was led by Gardner, Austin, Cullom, Williams, and Booker, who all drove in runs.
Gardner earned the victory on the rubber. The pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out three and walking one. The Lady Colts hit one home run on the day. Booker had a four bagger in the third inning.
Rivercrest racked up 15 hits. Williams, Chesnee Chandler, Taylor Routledge, Austin, and Gardner each collected multiple hits for Rivercrest Lady Colts Varsity. Chandler and Williams all had three hits.
