Mrs. Marla’s and Mrs. Courtney's kindergarten class witnessed the magic of a Monarch butterfly! 🦋
After finding a caterpillar outside, students watched its amazing transformation from a caterpillar to a shiny green chrysalis with gold dots. Fourteen days later, their butterfly emerged right in the middle of a phonics lesson!
Throughout the life cycle, students drew pictures like scientists and documented each stage they observed. They also explored the Monarch’s migration path and tracked its journey all the way to Mexico!
We can’t wait to release our butterfly once its wings are dry and it’s ready to fly! What an exciting, hands-on learning experience!
