They presented professional development on topics such as student engagement and effective teaching strategies for the classroom. Thanks to Ana Elrod, Daniel Brewer, Beth Ephlin, Jennifer Lewis, Bobbie Turpin and Spring Holt for sharing their expertise with others in the profession and for representing Rivercrest well.

The Osceola Health Department will offer a July immunization clinic on Friday, July 14 from 8:00am-4:30pm. Parents may call 870-563-2521 and have records checked to find out if immunizations are needed and book an appointment.


Preregistration for new students will be held Wednesday, August 2 from 8am - 3pm. K-6 students will register in the elementary counselor's office. 7-12 students will register in the high school counselor's office. This is for any student who was not enrolled at Rivercrest on the last day of the 2022-23 school year.
In order to enroll your student, you will need the following items:
-Birth Certificate
-Shot Record
-Social Security Card
-Two Proofs of Residency (actual bill showing physical address: rent, utilities, etc. School choice students are not required to provide proof of residency.)
-Name and address of school last attended
-Physical (Kindergarten students)

Today we lost one of our Colt family. Tammy Fleming, Rivercrest mathematics teacher, passed away unexpectedly. We will communicate information about arrangements when we get them. We appreciate your support and compassion for our students and staff at this time.

The junior and senior high math and English teachers are spending their summer preparing for August. Teachers are working diligently to align curriculum to the new standards recently released by the Department of Education in order to provide the best education for students.

RJHS teachers are already busy preparing for the new and exciting things to come in August with Asst. Superintendent Shantele Raper. Plans include ideas for the new outdoor classroom. Thank you teachers for your hard work and dedication!





Rivercrest Elementary has a few 2022-23 yearbooks left for sale. The price is $35. They can be purchased and picked up at the school office Tuesday - Friday through June 30. An online payment option is available at https://bit.ly/resyearbook23.


Report cards for grades 7-12 can be picked up in the junior high office next week
Tuesday - Thursday 9:00 - 2:30.
Also, new diplomas for seniors are available for pick up.


7th and 8th-grade students are invited to join us for our enrichment classes this summer.
Mrs. Lucius and Mrs. Lancaster will be conducting hands-on fun activities for the students who attend. The enrichment class will run Tuesday through Friday, May 30 to June 22, from 8 am to 1 pm in the Junior High School building.
Bus routes will be run in each town:
Wilson- 7:10 @ store; Bassett-7:20 @ store; Joiner-7:30 @ store; Keiser-7:10 @ church; Dyess-7:30 @ old school; Luxora-7:15 @ old school; and Osceola-7:30 @ country club
Car riders will need to be dropped off at the Jr. High School Gym Lobby.
Doors will be open at 7:40 and pick up time will be 1:00 at the same location.
Students will be served breakfast at 7:45 and lunch at 11:30 each day in the Jr. High Lobby.
